Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is seeking 3 year-round Youth Development Professional Program Support at our Fruit Valley Elementary Club, Burton Elementary Club, and Ogden Elementary Club.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Youth Development Professionals will:

• Support the planning and implementation of activities for youth in program areas (Education, Tech, Art, Gym, Games)
• Provide behavioral guidance using conflict resolution techniques, restorative practices, and problem-solving.
• Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior, and act as a role model for youth.
• Create and maintain a safe environment through active supervision, setting clear expectations, and ensuring clean program areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must be 21 years old or older for Teen Clubs.
• Must pass a national criminal background check, a social security verification, a local criminal background check, and a national sex offender registry check.
• Prior experience working with youth is preferred.
• This role requires physical activity, including standing, moving, and bending.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Availability is required Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, during the school year, and Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, during the summer.
• Position averages 15 hours per week.

• Fruit Valley Elementary Club - 3410 NW Fruit Valley Rd, Vancouver, WA 98660
• Ogden Elementary Club - 3200 NE 86th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98662

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $17.75 - $19.00 hourly, DOE
• Paid time off accrual and 12 paid holidays per year, including one floating holiday
