Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud Security

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized services for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events and network telemetry from public clouds.
• Design, defend, implement, and deliver reliable services and architectures.
• Own critical features and subsystems across requirements clarification, development, deployment, and customer usage.
• Operate the system in production and improve software supportability based on operational experience.
• Write code primarily in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces.
• Own code quality through developer, functional, and integration testing.
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and exceed customer expectations.
• Develop understanding of customer problems through stakeholder and peer interaction.
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
• At least four years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
• Experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API or programming level.
• Experience with Go and SQL.
• Experience with REST API clients.
• Experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Experience delivering containerized services on Kubernetes is desired.
• Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
• CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible experience is nice to have.
• Applicants must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
