Network Architect

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer / Architect with deep expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, enterprise WAN architecture, and advanced routing technologies. This individual will serve as the technical lead for designing, deploying, and supporting Cisco SD-WAN solutions across complex enterprise environments, ensuring seamless integration with MPLS, Internet, broadband, LTE/5G, and hybrid WAN infrastructures. This is a highly technical, hands‑on architecture role requiring strong experience designing resilient enterprise networks, leading large‑scale WAN transformations, and supporting mission‑critical environments. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both the logical and physical aspects of enterprise networking, including carrier circuits, fiber connectivity, routing, segmentation, security integration, and high availability. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of Cisco SD-WAN solutions, including overlay and underlay design, routing, segmentation, application‑aware routing, and policy management. Design and support enterprise WAN environments utilizing MPLS, Internet, broadband, carrier Ethernet, LTE/5G, and hybrid transport technologies. Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IS‑IS while ensuring high availability, resiliency, QoS, and application performance. Lead SD‑WAN migrations, WAN transformations, circuit turn‑ups, and production cutovers, developing implementation, validation, and rollback plans. Integrate WAN services with LAN, firewall, data center, cloud, and security environments while collaborating with carriers, vendors, field engineers, and cross‑functional technical teams. Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving SD‑WAN overlays, routing, MPLS, carrier services, fiber connectivity, optics, NAT, QoS, and application performance. Serve as the senior technical escalation point, leading root cause analysis, major incident response, technical reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. Produce and maintain technical documentation including high‑ and low‑level designs, network diagrams, implementation plans, migration documentation, and operational standards. Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise or service provider network engineering experience with a strong background in enterprise WAN architecture. Extensive hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Cisco SD‑WAN environments. Strong knowledge of Cisco SD‑WAN technologies including vManage, vBond, vSmart, WAN Edge routers, centralized policies, templates, segmentation, and application‑aware routing. Expertise with MPLS, hybrid WAN architectures, carrier Ethernet, Internet connectivity, broadband, and LTE/5G transport technologies. Advanced experience with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS‑IS, route redistribution, route filtering, policy‑based routing, and VRF segmentation. Experience with Cisco Catalyst 8000/8500, ISR, ASR, IOS‑XE, and enterprise routing platforms. Strong understanding of WAN circuit delivery, carrier handoffs, fiber optics, demarcation points, routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN integration. Experience leading complex WAN migrations, SD‑WAN deployments, high‑risk maintenance windows, and production network cutovers. Proven ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational standards.
