Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Physical Therapy Department for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities The Physical Therapist Assistant promotes and maintains health by providing therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues. Administers treatment programs for patients as specified in the plan of care established by the physical therapist. 40 hours per week 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional weekend and holiday rotation. Requirements Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy assistant program. Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Current license from the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Must pass the National Physical Therapy Assistant Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. CPR certification and Iowa Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certifications are required as an employee.
