Airline Services Commissary Agent - Seasonal Lehigh Valley International Airport - Allentown, PA 18109 Overview Level Entry Position Type Seasonal Job Shift Afternoon & Evenings+Weekends/Holidays Education Level High School Diploma / GED Travel Percentage None Category Customer Service Description Lehigh Valley Airline Services department provides ticketing and ground handling services for selected airlines. Commissary agents ensure aircraft are thoroughly supplied with commissary items. Essential Functions Prepare, assemble, and package airline galley carts according to the cart diagrams provided by each airline, including: (a) Beverages, (b) Shelf-stable items (e.g., snack packs, pretzels, candy, etc.), (c) Dry stock (e.g., cups, napkins, etc.), (d) promotional products & (e) other items as specified Conduct accurate inventories for all arriving and departing aircraft, following established documentation procedures, including: (a) Beverages, (b) Shelf-stable items (e.g., snack packs, pretzels, candy, etc.), (c) Dry stock (cups, napkins, etc.), (d) promotional products & (e) other items as specified Assist with weekly inventory counts and promptly report critical stock shortages to the Airline Commissary Department and/or Commercial Services Coordinator. Accept deliveries of commissary supplies from vendors and verify the accuracy of items received. Scan Items & Email all received invoices to the respective airline on the same day they are received. Rotate stock to ensure product integrity and freshness. Dispose of expired products in accordance with established procedures. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance. Professionally communicate over two-way radio, telephone, and email. Possess and maintain a valid Driver's license. Additional Responsibilities Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure on-time performance and efficient operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area. Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment. Adhere to all Airline, TSA & FAA regulations as well as Authority policies, procedures, and best practices while upholding safety, security, and service. Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with internal and external customers to support effective airline operations and teamwork. Remain flexible and available to work extended hours or stay late during irregular operations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). PC skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Able to respond and perform in emergency situations and severe weather conditions. Possess a valid Driver's license. Must- Have Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Maintain a valid driver's license Must wear uniforms provided (uniforms must be clean and presentable) and personal protective equipment. Must be available to work split-shifts, nights, weekends and holidays when required. Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension. Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl. Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls. Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals. Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 100 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and optional. Able and willing to work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and warm temperatures.
