Class A CDL Semi-Local Driver

This semi-local position is ideal for drivers who enjoy hands-on deliveries, reliable schedules, and the stability of serving a well-established customer in the furniture, appliance, and electronics industry.

Drivers on this account deliver furniture, appliances, electronics, and lawn equipment to retail store locations using sleeper tractors and straight trucks equipped with lift gates. Freight is preloaded, but drivers are responsible for unloading deliveries at each stop. With dedicated freight, modern equipment, and year-round demand, this position offers long-term career stability and consistent work.

Job Details

Semi-local dedicated account
Deliver furniture, appliances, electronics, and lawn equipment
Operate 53-foot trailers and 26-foot straight trucks with lift gates
Deliver directly to retail store locations
Preloaded freight
Touch freight position
Driver unload required at each stop
Consistent freight volumes throughout the year

Physical Requirements

This is a physical delivery position.

Unload freight using lift gates and dollies
Tailgate deliveries at customer locations
Ability to consistently lift up to 100 pounds
Frequent loading and unloading activities throughout the workday
Ability to safely handle large and bulky merchandise

Equipment

Freightliner and International sleeper tractors
2020 Freightliner straight trucks with lift gates
Modern, well-maintained equipment
Trucks must remain at the account during time off
Drivers are required to park equipment at the distribution center
No riders permitted

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
Ability to consistently lift and move heavy freight
Experience using dollies and lift gates preferred
Strong safety record
Professional and dependable work ethic
Strong customer service skills

Drivers may be assigned to support other accounts during periods of lower freight volume
Additional account work may occur several times per week during slower seasons
