Invasive Cardiac Technologist

This is a 12-week contract position.

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On call for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. 40 hours per week.

The Invasive Cardiac Technologist will perform imaging procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Key responsibilities include:

• Competently performing a variety of technical procedures while demonstrating proper positioning and radiographic techniques.
• Practicing radiation safety and ensuring documentation of patient radiation exposure.
• Fostering an aseptic environment during procedures and supporting patient safety through established protocol.
• Assisting in procedures and administering contrast under physician direction.
• Maintaining point of care testing standards and ensuring proper quality control.
• Communicating effectively with patients and coworkers to expedite care efficiently.
• Identifying patients using two patient identifiers and documenting patient history as required.
• Ensuring all images are properly coded, tracked, and archived.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology certification, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification is required.
• Must meet position-specific clearance requirements.
