Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.How You Will Make an Impact Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting and reporting processes for a portfolio of alternative investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, and/or real estate funds.Manage a team of fund accountants, including performance management, training, and development.Review and approve complex journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings.Lead client communication and relationship management, acting as a primary point of contact for complex accounting inquiries.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, compliance, technology) to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.Develop and implement best practices for fund accounting processes and controls.Stay current with industry trends, accounting pronouncements (e.g., ASC 946), and regulatory changes impacting alternative investments.Participate in new client onboarding and due diligence processes.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation.Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7+ years of progressive experience in fund accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, specifically within alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, real estate funds).In-depth knowledge of various alternative investment structures and their associated accounting complexities.Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, particularly as applied to investment companies.Proven ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, PFS-PAXUS, Investran) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.What Sets You ApartCPA designation is a plus.Master’s degree is preferred.Join SS&C, where innovation meets global opportunities.
