Requirements/Responsibilities

A Produce Clerk is responsible for maintaining a fresh, attractive, and well-stocked produce department while providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include stocking and rotating fruits and vegetables, inspecting products for quality and freshness, removing damaged or expired items, creating appealing displays, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the department. Produce Clerks assist customers with product selection and questions, help receive and organize deliveries, and ensure compliance with store policies and health regulations. Successful candidates should possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires physical stamina for lifting, standing, bending, and handling produce throughout the day, as well as a commitment to maintaining high-quality products and a positive shopping experience for customers.
