Job Description

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily trucking operations by managing driver schedules, assigning loads, and serving as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and operations teams. This role ensures efficient utilization of equipment and personnel while maintaining constant communication to support safe, timely, and accurate service delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\n•\tDispatch and coordinate 15-20 drivers daily, ensuring efficient routing and load assignments.\n•\tManage driver activity throughout the day, including tracking load completion and assigning subsequent jobs.\n•\tRespond to customer service requests received via phone, email, and text, coordinating approximately 25+ jobs per day.\n•\tPrepare and maintain daily work schedules and trucking assignments.\n•\tMonitor driver locations, equipment utilization, and service progress to maximize operational efficiency.\n•\tCommunicate regularly with drivers, customers, and operations personnel to resolve issues and ensure service expectations are met.\n•\tDetermine equipment, vehicle, and personnel requirements based on customer requests and operational needs.\n•\tMaintain accurate records of customer requests, completed services, dispatch activities, charges, and operational data.\n•\tAddress customer questions, service issues, and scheduling changes in a timely and professional manner.\n•\tCollaborate with operations teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services.
