The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements: Education per RN license requirement. BSN preferred. Experience - None required. One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred. Current Texas nursing license, compact license or Graduate Nurse permit. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully pass all pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
