Job Title: Inspector (Entry-Level Labor)

Job Description

The Inspector (Entry-Level Labor) will be trained to inspect glass products in a clean, automated manufacturing facility. This role is highly repetitive and focuses on consistent, accurate visual inspection and handling of materials to support production and shipping operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect glass products following established quality standards and procedures after receiving thorough on-the-job training.
• Perform repetitive visual inspections to identify defects, damage, or irregularities and ensure only acceptable products move forward in the process.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including moving, staging, and organizing glass and related products in the production and warehouse areas.
• Support manufacturing and production activities by assisting with loading, unloading, and transferring materials as directed.
• Use basic warehouse tools and equipment, such as RF scanners, to track and record product movement and inventory when required.
• Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including preparing products for shipment and verifying incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) if trained and authorized, following all safety guidelines and facility procedures.
• Follow all safety policies, wear required protective equipment and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Work reliably on assigned shifts, complete tasks in a timely manner, and meet production and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members, communicate issues or product concerns promptly, and participate in ongoing training as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to learn and perform detailed visual inspection of glass products in a repetitive, production-oriented environment.
• Capability to handle materials safely and efficiently in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Willingness to work in an entry-level labor role that involves repetitive tasks and standing or moving for extended periods.
• Basic ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.
• Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Comfort working in a typical manufacturing environment that may vary in temperature with the seasons.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
• Openness to training on equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling tools, as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No formal education or previous experience is required for this role.
• Previous forklift experience (sit-down or stand-up) is not required but is preferred and useful for training.
• Prior material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Manufacturing labor or production experience is highly preferred and will support faster onboarding.
• Experience with RF scanners and basic shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Comfort working with automated manufacturing equipment and systems is beneficial.

Work Environment

The role is based in a typical manufacturing facility that is clean, well laid out, and highly automated. The environment is generally mild, though it can be cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer, with all work conducted indoors and no outdoor assignments. Employees work around production equipment, material handling tools, and automated systems, and may use forklifts, RF scanners, and other warehouse technologies as part of their duties. The facility focuses on safety, organization, and efficiency, providing a structured setting for entry-level labor and inspection work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Tipton,PA.
