Application Developer

Our client is seeking a Application Developer to join their team. As an Application Developer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting innovative backend solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Developer

Location: Pasadena, CA - Hybrid 3x a week onsite

Pay Range: $80

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java 17/21 and Python.
• Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Leverage AWS cloud services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and API Gateway to enhance application performance and security.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to ensure software quality.

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, and deploying backend applications.
• Extensive experience with Java (17/21), Python, and building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in designing and managing scalable data pipelines with Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and API Gateway.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs).
