Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily operations in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. In this role, you manage the end-to-end order process from purchase order intake through shipment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication across internal teams and an external vendor. You coordinate freight, transfers of finished goods, and carrier performance while leveraging NetSuite and transportation management tools to maintain operational visibility. This position is ideal for a logistics professional who can step in quickly, handle urgent requests, and help bring structure, consistency, and reliability to day-to-day operations in a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end order flow from purchase order intake through shipment, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Coordinate customer freight-out from warehouses and co-packers to customer locations via freight service providers, including daily load monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Manage transfers of finished goods between production sites, warehouses, and co-packers to maintain product availability.
- Support inter-facility movement of raw material shipments, including dry, refrigerated, and frozen goods.
- Process freight, transfer, and related transactions in NetSuite ERP, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate documentation within NetSuite to support operational visibility and audit readiness.
- Audit freight provider invoices for accuracy and pursue billbacks or credits as needed to control logistics costs.
- Manage carrier performance using KPIs and reporting to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries and high service levels.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and required shipment documentation, such as Bills of Lading, resolving discrepancies with internal and external partners.
- Build effective working relationships with warehouses, freight providers, co-manufacturers, and third-party logistics partners.
- Partner closely with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to address day-to-day logistics needs and resolve issues quickly.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and an external vendor to align on order status, set clear expectations, and proactively manage priorities.
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure orders ship accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support documentation and tracking processes to ensure consistent, transparent, and reliable logistics operations.
- Help streamline workflows, improve process consistency, and enhance overall operational organization for the team.
- Ensure logistics activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in logistics management, with exposure to warehouse, inventory, or supply chain operations.
- 1+ years of experience in outbound freight or logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of the order lifecycle from purchase order to shipment, including order flow and tracking.
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), appointment scheduling platforms, accessorial fees, load planning, and 3PL warehouse operations.
- Experience using NetSuite, with the ability to process and track orders, freight, and transfers within the system.
- Proficiency with NetSuite, TMS platforms, Power BI or Tableau, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfort analyzing data and generating reports or dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, customer service, supply chain, and external partners.
- High level of organization and strong attention to detail, especially when managing multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle urgent requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry is a plus.
- Background in inventory control, shipping, or third-party logistics is beneficial.
- Experience coordinating freight, transfers of finished goods, and carrier management in a growth-oriented environment.
- Ability to quickly step into a new environment and make an immediate impact on logistics processes.
- Experience working in a post-acquisition or rapidly evolving organizational environment is advantageous.
- Interest in helping build structure, consistency, and reliability in logistics and order management processes.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fully remote work environment, providing flexibility while supporting a fast-paced operations team. You collaborate daily with cross-functional partners and external vendors through digital communication tools, leveraging systems such as NetSuite, Transportation Management Systems, appointment scheduling platforms, Power BI or Tableau, and Microsoft Office. The position supports a growing organization in the Food and Beverage sector, where workflows are evolving and there is a strong focus on building structured, consistent, and reliable logistics processes. Standard remote office attire is appropriate, and you are expected to maintain a professional presence in virtual meetings and communications while managing priorities across multiple time-sensitive logistics activities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
