About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant General Counsel/Transactional Attorney with a focus on healthcare and Medicaid laws. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support across various core areas, including commercial and government contracting, and associated healthcare-related legal matters. This role involves independently managing a defined scope of legal work, serving as a primary legal partner to internal stakeholders, and ensuring that all legal activities are in compliance with the company's standards and guidance. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of agreements, supporting M&A and corporate initiatives, and exercising sound legal judgment within established frameworks. Applicants must have a J.D. degree, be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 5-7 years of professional legal experience, with a preference for those with a background in healthcare, Medicaid, and regulatory frameworks. The role requires strong contract drafting and issue-spotting skills, the ability to manage a consistent volume of work with competing priorities, and the capacity to communicate legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Experience in M&A or corporate transactions is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at exercising independent judgment on legal matters and escalating high-risk or non-standard issues as necessary.
