Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Days, 3x12-hour shiftsContract Duration: 13 weeks, with an ASAP start dateRequirementsEducation: Graduate of an NBRC approved Respiratory Care program (required) or active member of AARC.Licensure: Virginia Respiratory Therapy license is required.Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (via American Heart Association) is required.ACLS certification is required.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT Certification) is required.Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT Certification) is required.Experience: Minimum of two years of Respiratory Therapy experience.Patient Population: Primarily adult patients, with a small percentage of pediatric patients that may come through the Emergency Department; this position is not for NICU respiratory therapy.Vaccine InformationThe flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st).If requesting a religious or medical exemption for the flu vaccine, compliance with CMS guidelines is necessary. Supporting documentation must be reviewed and approved.Purpose & ScopeThe Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the comprehensive respiratory care of assigned patients. Key responsibilities include supervision of assigned personnel, adherence to departmental and hospital policies and procedures relevant to respiratory care, and effective communication with both patients and colleagues.This position necessitates strong interpretive skills, consultative abilities, and proficient management capabilities. The ability to present information clearly and effectively through spoken and written communication is essential, as are manual dexterity skills.Client Details City Arlington State VA
