Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant - Business Collaboration & Ongoing Operations

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant to support ongoing Finance & Controlling business operations. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, driving business process optimization while providing SAP functional expertise, solution design, configuration, production support, and issue resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP FI/CO, with a strong focus on Controlling (CO), Material Ledger, month-end close processes, integration points, and enterprise SAP environments. Candidates will work directly with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to improve business processes, support SAP initiatives, resolve functional issues, and deliver business value through technology.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as an SAP FI/CO functional consultant and trusted advisor for Finance and Cost business functions.
Support ongoing SAP finance and controlling operations.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Gather requirements, analyze business processes, and create functional designs.
Configure, develop, and implement SAP FI/CO solutions.
Support SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
Coordinate integrations among FI, CO, MM, PP, SD, banking, EDI, and third-party systems.
Support month-end close, cost accounting, Material Ledger, financial accounting, and asset accounting processes.
Prepare test plans, test scripts, UAT activities, and data conversion efforts.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve SAP functional and production issues.
Provide end-user support, training, and process documentation.
Partner closely with business stakeholders, AMS teams, vendors, and IT resources.
Support SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation initiatives as required.
Follow SAP best practices, solution standards, and governance requirements.
Evaluate SAP functionality and recommend improvements to operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to resolve issues and deliver business value.

Qualifications:

Experience working in AMS and enterprise support environments.
Ability to document business processes and functional solutions.
Strong understanding of integrations, IT architecture, governance, and security.
