Full-Time In-Office Civil Litigation Paralegal

Sommerman, McCaffity, Quesada & Geisler, LLP is looking for a n in-office civil litigation paralegal. The successful candidate will be highly organized, have attention to detail, and be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process. Responsibilities Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, motions and discovery. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.). Communicate with clients and their providers to ensure accuracy and completeness of client files . Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Schedule and calendar hearings, depositions, mediation, and conference calls . Order medical records and review/follow up to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare hearing, deposition, mediation and trial notebooks and exhibits. Some overtime may occasionally be required. Must possess a team-oriented mindset. Skills Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal preferred . Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc. Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high energy environment. Strong writing and communication skills.
