This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who is passionate about accounting, enjoys solving complex technical issues, and takes pride in developing high-performing teams.This role is designed for someone who thrives as a hands-on leader—someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, diving into the details, and ensuring accounting excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Develop, mentor, and coach members of the accounting team, fostering technical expertise and continuous improvement.Review complex accounting transactions and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting matters and improve business processes.Maintain and strengthen internal controls.Assist with external audits by responding to auditor inquiries and supporting documentation requests.Analyze financial results, investigate unusual variances, and provide meaningful insights to management.Develop and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency while maintaining strong controls.Participate in special projects, system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.Serve as a trusted technical accounting resource across the organization.Technical SkillsExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong understanding of financial statement relationships and account reconciliations.Experience researching and applying accounting guidance.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Leadership StyleThe ideal candidate is:Passionate about accounting and enjoys technical accounting challenges.A hands-on leader who willingly dives into the details when needed.Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.A coach who enjoys developing people and strengthening accounting capabilities.Organized, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.Someone who finds long-term fulfillment in being an exceptional accounting leader who is motivated by the work itself and enjoys being a subject matter expert.Qualifications and Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting.CPA designation strongly preferred.10 –15 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3-5 years of leadership responsibilities.Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders while providing accounting guidance.Experience managing month-end close and general ledger accounting.Demonstrated success developing, mentoring, and leading accounting professionals.Experience supporting external audits and working with independent auditors.SummaryLocation: USA, UT, Salt Lake CityType: Full time
