We are seeking a dependable and compassionate culinary professional to join our team in an assisted living setting. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that support the health, comfort, and dignity of residents. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming dining experience and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and service.

• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to planned menus and dietary needs
• Follow resident-specific diet restrictions, texture modifications, and allergy considerations as directed
• Ensure meals are presented in an appetizing and timely manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food storage area
• Monitor food quality, freshness, portion control, and safe handling practices
• Assist with menu planning and communicate supply needs to appropriate team members
• Receive, store, and rotate inventory to reduce waste and maintain proper stock levels
• Follow all local, state, and facility food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and care teams to support resident needs
• Respond professionally and courteously to resident and staff feedback

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environment preferred
• Knowledge of safe food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions accurately
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining consistent service
• Clear communication and a respectful, service-oriented approach
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen tasks
• ServSafe Manager required, can complete on the job

• Experience with therapeutic or modified diets
• Familiarity with elder care dining services
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
• Basic understanding of inventory management and portion control
