• Emergency privileges may be expedited, with turnaround as fast as one day based on facility process

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient trauma surgery consultative coverage for adult patients
• Evaluate, assess, and manage new consults and follow-up patients
• Collaborate with hospital-based care teams to support continuity of care
• Support and supervise residents within the academic practice environment
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the Meditech EMR system
• Deliver high-quality, timely surgical consultation during daytime coverage hours
