Dental Assistant Position

Mauthe & Associates is looking for a Dental Assistant in Fond du Lac, WI to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. • Competitive hourly pay $18.00-$24.00
• Full-time Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (30 min unpaid lunch) Tuesday 11 AM-6 PM. Friday 8 AM to Noon (2-3 per month)

Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications:

• One year on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong focus on patient care
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
