Corporate CounselThe Corporate Counsel role provides legal services to MaineHealth members; in particular, reviewing and drafting contracts; providing advice regarding the legal considerations in patient care; providing advice regarding compliance with patient privacy and data security laws and regulations; and interacting with insurers regarding application, coverage, and insurance renewals. Corporate counsel will also perform other assignments made by the General Counsel.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: Graduate from an accredited law school required.License/Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the State of Maine required. Maine bar admission required; if transitioning license from another state, Maine bar admission required within 12 months from start date.Experience: Five years of experience representing healthcare clients and demonstrating knowledge of health law, commercial contracting, patient privacy laws and other legal topics associated with the representation of health care providers required.MaineHealth is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where care team members can thrive while making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve across Maine and New Hampshire.
