Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job Purpose:Installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems in accordance with established proceduresJob Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)Installs and maintains HVAC equipment by routinely inspecting motors, compressors, temperature, humidity controls, and electrical systems, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on breakers, compressors, transformers, and pressure gages, identifying and correcting defective or damaged systems, and planning and installing evaporator units, pipes, tubing, conduit and thermostats in the buildings as needed.Maintains safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storage area, storing tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or broken tools following established procedures, and following established safety standards while using tools.Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:High School Diploma, G.E.D, or 2 years of work experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems2 years of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration experienceHVAC/R EPA Universal CertificateDesirable:Associates Degree in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration or related fieldExposure to the casino, hospitality and/or hotel industrySkills and Knowledge:Essential:Proficiency in HVAC building code requirementsProficiency in building automation systemsAbility to diagnose and repair malfunctioning compressors, motors and temperature controlsAbility to replace damaged or broken wires, cables, and turbinesAbility to read, interpret and apply technical information from manuals, drawings, schematics and blue-printsAbility to document and track assignments through a shop log or work order systemAbility to communicate effectively in the English languageAbility to read in the English languageAbility to perform simple mathematical calculations and measurementsAbility to lift up to 80 lbs.Ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, bend, kneel and reachAbility to work from ladders, scaffolds, and liftsAbility to work in small spacesAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to work in a smoking environmentAbility to interact effectively with team members and guestsAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to understand and follow verbal directives and written directionsAbility to accept constructive criticismDesirable:Multi-lingualSupervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NoneIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
