This is a unique opportunity for a high-performing Financial Power Trader to join a leading Energy Trading Hedge Fund with a strong presence across both Congestion and Futures markets.

The Fund is active across all major ISO regions and is looking to add an elite trader with a proven ability to deploy meaningful risk capital, generate alpha across congestion and financial power markets, and develop scalable trading strategies.

You will join a highly collaborative team of experienced traders, quants, and analysts within a well-capitalized platform that offers strong infrastructure, analytics, and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute profitable trading strategies across FTR/CRR markets and ICE-listed power and gas products.
• Trade and manage exposure across key ISO regions including ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and SPP.
• Deploy risk strategically across speculative and fundamental trading opportunities.
• Partner closely with quantitative researchers, analysts, and developers to enhance models, forecasting, and execution capabilities.
• Identify market dislocations, congestion opportunities, and cross-market value trades.
• Manage risk exposure, stress testing, and capital allocation within defined risk parameters.
• Monitor evolving ISO rules, transmission developments, and broader market/regulatory changes impacting financial power markets.
• Contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing and entrepreneurial trading environment.

Qualifications:

• 3–10+ years of experience in financial power trading with a strong track record of profitability.
• Demonstrated success trading FTRs/CRRs/TCCs and/or ICE power and gas products.
• Strong understanding of ISO market structure, congestion dynamics, and financial transmission products.
• Ability to manage meaningful risk and operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Highly analytical and quantitative mindset with strong commercial instincts.
• Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to develop and scale trading strategies independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; leadership experience is a plus.
