Job Title

PACU RN – 4x10

Location

Boston, MA | Ambulatory Surgery Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 4x10-hour shifts | No holidays, weekends, nights, or call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and overall recovery progress in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe and timely patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts or compact licensure eligibility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Outpatient recovery experience is required for this role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize and respond to post-anesthesia complications
• Experience with a high-volume, fast-paced PACU environment
