Maintenance coordinator

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to keep our food manufacturing facility running without interruption. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our maintenance team-managing MRO spare parts inventory, maintaining clean data in our system, holding vendors accountable to tight delivery schedules, and ensuring our technicians have the exact parts they need when they need them.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Understands and administers Preventive Maintenance system and its implementation. Reviews work logs, work orders, PM sheets.
• Ensure that all equipment failures are attended immediately by assigning the right person and demonstrating a high sense of urgency.
• Ensure that all Preventative Maintenance Activities are efficiently and adequately performed and completed in a timely manner before due date.
• Conducts spot checks for PM completion
• Completes all necessary paperwork related to planned and unplanned work performed.
• Works closely with the Operations, Process and Maintenance Manager and other departments in order to eliminate downtime and to improve operational efficiencies.
• Maintains and controls shop part inventory.
• Adheres and operates within the prescribed budget limits set forth for the Maintenance Manager.
• Works from manufacturer's manuals and specifications to keep equipment and machinery in proper working condition.
• Assure all critical and spare parts for equipment are readily available. Researches and requests repair parts as necessary.
• Ensures proper planning and tracking of installation, maintenance, and repairs to machinery, equipment, physical structures and electrical systems in the manufacturing facility and offices.
• Schedules and coordinates work completed by maintenance mechanics and outside vendors.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 45lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
