3rd Shift PRN Lab Assistant - Hematology

Labcorp seeks a lab assistant for third-shift, per diem work in Phoenix to receive, sort, and prepare clinical hematology specimens. The role includes equipment maintenance, data entry, and ensuring compliance with lab safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing
• Perform specimen scanning and data entry of patient information
• Monitor equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and resolve specimen-related issues
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking ability
• Ability to work extended sitting or standing periods
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• One or more years laboratory or production environment experience (preferred)
