Responsibilities The Part Time Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and schedules. Must ensure orders are properly fulfilled and maintain excellent customer service. Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, use navigation apps, and follow time schedules. Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles and support operations at customer’s place of business. Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns. Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record. Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices, return forms, reconcile debt and credit, and handle all moneys collected related to deliveries. When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and notify manager of any issues. Assist in any store or warehouse duties as assigned. Maintain and promote workplace safety. Secure and transfer cash or other assets. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Current, valid driver’s license. Must be 21 years old or over to meet insurance requirements. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (up to 75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances. Use tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and signature capture. Exceptional verbal communication skills and ability to communicate professionally with tact and diplomacy. Follow directions and work well as part of a team. Flexible schedule, able to work overtime as needed. Previous delivery driving experience is a plus. Benefits Medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision coverage.
