Responsibilities Perform vascular interventional, neuro interventional, and spine interventional imaging procedures. Evaluate radiographic service requests and assess patients to determine appropriate protocols. Corroborate patient clinical history and ensure documentation for licensed practitioners. Prepare patients with instructions to achieve desired results and minimize anxiety. Operate imaging equipment and select appropriate programs. Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting comfort. Employ imaging systems, accessory devices, and positioning techniques to generate high‑quality interventional images. Administer patient education before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety and enhance comfort. Perform imaging procedures following safe radiation practices per Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety and NRC guidelines. Document procedures manually and/or electronically to ensure accurate charging and tracking. Monitor imaging room supplies and reorder as needed to maintain availability. Report equipment failures, irregularities, and maintenance needs promptly to supervisors or quality control. Provide imaging services of optimum quality, productivity, and customer service. Collect data for quality management measurement and tracking. Participate in process improvement and problem‑solving initiatives. Identify improvement areas and recommend corrective actions. Maintain continuity of care through effective interaction with other departments (surgery, emergency, registration, patient escort, nursing).
