Swim Instructor

Teach American Red Cross swim classes, from pre-school swim program through Level 6, as well as other instructional swim programs Develop and implement lesson plans, test students, and complete student certificates as required by American Red Cross If working alone, be prepared to fulfill duties of lifeguard. If working with staff, supervise lifeguards and swim assistants Work with swimmers in water as needed Operate handicap chair, lift, and rescue equipment as needed Respond to emergencies using appropriate first aid Teach other non-ARC swim classes or supervise non-instructional swim programs as assigned Job Summary Teach American Red Cross swim classes, from pre-school swim program through Level 6, as well as other instructional swim programs Develop and implement lesson plans, test students, and complete student certificates as required by American Red Cross If working alone, be prepared to fulfill duties of lifeguard.
