AS9100 Precision CNC Machining Technician

Are you the machinist who sees the micron others miss? If you thrive on tight tolerances, smart setups, and editing code on the fly, this role in Reading, OH (Cincinnati metro) is built for you. You’ll operate advanced multi-axis mills and lathes in a secure, climate-controlled environment, manufacturing components that meet rigorous AS9100 / ISO standards for aerospace and defense. Quick facts Work: Multi-axis milling and turning, complex setups, in-process inspection Environment: Secure, climate-controlled manufacturing floor Standards: AS9100 / ISO-compliant quality system Core responsibilities Set up and run multi-axis CNC mills and lathes; tram machine heads for optimal alignment Translate manufacturing process plans, engineering drawings, routed instructions, and verbal direction into action Engineer solid workholding with vises, angle plates, V-blocks, rotary tables, and super spacers Perform milling, drilling, tapping, and reaming to create precision parts Use dial calipers, thread gauges, indicators, and micrometers to verify dimensions Amend G & M code at the machine to refine programs Deburr components and complete all required production documentation Maintain compliance with AS9100 / ISO aerospace and defense quality Minimum qualifications High school diploma or GED Two years of vocational training in machining or equivalent CNC shop experience preferred Ability to interpret blueprints and confidently adjust G & M code Proficient in shop math, including geometry, fractions, and decimal conversion Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning U.S. citizenship required due to defense security protocols Location & eligibility Reading, OH (Cincinnati metro) Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizens only Compensation & benefits 25% Night Shift Differential (4:30pm) Flexible on Scheduling Medical (HDHP & PPO) Quarterly Bonus Plan Dental & Vision 100% Tuition Reimbursement Pet Insurance 401(k) with 50% Match to 7% Short & Long-Term Disability Profit Sharing Generous PTO + Holiday Pay Relocation Assistance (OH) Employee Assistance Program Ownership For All (Equity Program) Wellness Premium Discount Preferred proficiencies G-Code M-Code CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Machine Setups for Production Runs AS9100 Experience Equipment you’ll touch CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) CNC Lathe (5+ axis) #J-18808-Ljbffr VWS
