Clinical Specialist, Cranial & Spinal Technologies - Lubbock, TX

Medtronic seeks a field-based Clinical Specialist for Cranial & Spinal Technologies in Lubbock, TX to provide clinical and technical support for neurosurgery and robotic-assisted surgery products. The role involves on-site installations, customer training, system maintenance, and technical troubleshooting across a regional territory.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate on-site installations and provide technical assistance during technology-enabled surgical procedures
  • Maintain and troubleshoot system hardware and software; perform preventative maintenance and upgrades
  • Train physicians, hospital staff, and surgical teams on navigation and robotic-assisted surgery technologies
  • Serve as primary technical liaison for customer support, repair issues, and service contract fulfillment
  • Document installations, file weekly reports, identify new customer opportunities, and provide feedback on product development

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus minimum 6 years clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to reside within territory and travel regionally
  • Technical proficiency with UNIX/Linux commands and medical device software systems
  • Ability to provide clinical and technical training to physicians, surgeons, and hospital staff
  • Knowledge of surgical navigation systems, robotics, and image-guided surgical procedures
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
