Equities Counsel

\n

\n

Konexo Legal Resourcing is seeking an experienced capital markets professional for a 4-5 month engagement with a financial services client. The successful candidate will advise the company’s markets division on equities products and services, develop legal strategies, and help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, standards, and controls. Responsibilities include drafting and maintaining legal documentation, monitoring regulatory developments, delivering training, and supporting litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations.

• Contract duration: 4-5 months
\n
• Location: New York

What you should have:

\n

\n
• Qualified attorney with 8+ years of capital markets and product expertise, with the ability to lead complex legal and risk initiatives.
\n
• Exceptional judgment and a demonstrated ability to make and communicate significant business and legal decisions.
\n
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and external stakeholders and to strengthen governance.
\n
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to provide strategic direction, mentor colleagues, and promote high performance.
\n
• Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and license to practice law.
\n
• Applicants must be based in the United States.
\n
