Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the building and surrounding areas.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs , including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing toilets.
- Perform painting, patching, touch-ups, and other basic wall and surface repairs.
- Replace light fixtures, bulbs, switches, and other basic lighting components as permitted.
- Inspect facilities and equipment and identify maintenance issues that require attention.
- Perform basic carpentry, drywall, hardware, and general repair work as needed.
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly common areas, workspaces, and building grounds.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies when necessary.
- Maintain and safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and building codes while performing maintenance duties.
- Report major repairs, safety hazards, or issues requiring outside contractors to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and other facility-related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, electrical/lighting, carpentry, and general repairs.
