Custodian/Housekeeper

Job TitleJob Location: Florida Keys Outlet MarketplacePrimary Purpose:This position is accountable for the cleanliness of the center common area, which included but is not limited to, the parking lot, common sidewalks, and service bays. This position is also responsible for emptying of trash receptacles, tenant dumpsters, and operating a trash compactor.Principal Responsibilities:The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Routinely inspects and patrols the interior and exterior of the facility performing interior and exterior custodial duties including sweeping sidewalks/floors, wet mop sidewalks/floors, operate steam cleaner, operate hand vacuum, clean and restock restrooms, gather trash and empty trash receptacles; operate compactor and turn trash cartsOperate a variety of janitorial related equipment to maintain cleanliness of property.Operate high-reach or lift equipment to perform debris removal and cleaning of elevated surfacesAssist other departments, including but no limited to, Marketing to clean and patrol during eventsEstablish procedures to insure completion of scheduled cleaning of different areas of the facilityMaintain a professional, cooperative working relationship with management and all co-workersPerform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environmentEnsure the appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, cleaning supplies, equipment and tools are maintainedNotes damaged or missing property, missing trash containers, and other problems and notifies supervisorMay perform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferredAbility to read and interpret documents and comprehend instructions. Ability to effectively present information to departmental management, employees, tenants, and outside contactsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral formAbility to define problems, collect information, and establish factsSelf-starter with ability to work independently and multi-taskKnowledge of safety rules, hazards, and application of accident prevention measuresAbility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysValid Driver's LicenseAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
