Work Environment\nThis position operates in a fully remote setting, utilizing telehealth technology to provide therapy sessions and support. You will collaborate with a team of mental health professionals while utilizing state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and manage documentation efficiently. As we embrace a flexible work culture, you will be required to maintain availability during business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some possibility for adjusted scheduling to meet patient needs.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are sensitive to the cultural context of each patient, ensuring you understand their lived experiences before developing treatment plans. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices to deliver individualized care, adapting interventions to fit the specific cultural and personal contexts of your patients. \n
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, offering support for a spectrum of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. \n
- Engage in collaborative practices with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to orchestrate cohesive care for your patients. \n
- Deliver crisis intervention and support during critical mental health emergencies, exemplifying calmness and professionalism in high-pressure situations. \n
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available community resources that can aid in their recovery. \n
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards. \n
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance your skills and contribute to team discussions. \n
- Stay updated on recent research findings and treatment advancements, ensuring your practice reflects best practices and cultural considerations in therapy. \n
In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. Your cultural competence and empathy will be crucial in building rapport and trust with patients, enabling them to engage fully in the therapeutic process.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas. \n
- A solid understanding of mental health disorders along with evidence-based therapeutic approaches that emphasize cultural sensitivity. \n
- Experience in providing individual and group therapy, demonstrating an inclusive and culturally responsive practice. \n
- Strong crisis intervention skills along with a calm demeanor in challenging clinical situations. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds. \n
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in computer applications to facilitate remote work. \n
- A dedicated commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing professional boundaries. \n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a collaborative work atmosphere. \n
While broad mental health experience is crucial, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in areas such as trauma-informed care and community-based therapeutic interventions. Knowledge of cultural challenges affecting mental health access and outcomes is highly valued.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
