We’re growing and building #TeamDAUCH Join us!Job Description:Our Machine Operators fill a vital role in the manufacturing process, as they machine the components for our products and act as the first line of defense in the quality control process. They work as a team to produce high quality components, catch errors, and resolve issues on the fly throughout each day. They take ownership of their work and strive to produce the very best each day.We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator who takes pride in their work and enjoys being in an engaging environment where their input and suggestions are valued. If this sounds like you, please keep reading!PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Obtain raw materials from the Material Handler and place them at your machining station.Run the first piece and verify that it meets all of the specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch.Operate machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that the produced parts meet all quality standards and specifications.Use gauges to ensure produced components meet all specifications and requirements.Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specificationsComplete SPC charts and attribute chart (list of gauging and dimensions to be checked)Pack finished products as instructedComplete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials.Perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines. (Adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits)Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner.Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.Perform other related duties as assignedTECHNICAL SKILLS:Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and blueprintsKnowledge of the Metric System (Microns, Millimeters, etc)Able to use gauges to measure parts and ensure they stay within the acceptable tolerancesBasic math skills (addition and subtraction of decimal numbers)Able to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner and know when to ask for helpAbility to work in a team environment.EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:Experience as a Machinist (Preferred)CNC Machining Experience (Preferred)REQUIREMENTS:Strong attention to detail through repetitive machine operations and measurements to ensure high quality through the production process.Comfortable working in a cooperative, team oriented, fast paced environment.Desire to take ownership of your role including performance and attendance accountability.Willingness to work on traditional and non-traditional shiftsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objectsRequires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bendingHigh mental and visual effort requiredWorks in, around and beneath equipmentRequired Skills and EducationExperience preferredAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
