About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a talented accounting team, partnering with bank leaders, and contributing to board reporting. This role involves overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and leading critical regulatory submissions. The VP Controller will also be tasked with maintaining strong internal controls, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation, and building a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth. Applicants for the VP Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, a CPA certification, and at least 5 years of leadership experience. Familiarity with banking laws and regulations is essential, as is a strong analytical skill set and proficiency in Microsoft applications. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated involvement in community or civic activities. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive in their professional development, is passionate about their work, and is committed to influencing their own growth within the organization.
