• Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061
• Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
• Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shift)
• Pay Range: $33–$40 per hour, (plus applicable shift differentials)
• Relocation Assistance: Available

-> Schedule and Work Requirements

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts.
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
• Holiday coverage is required.
• No on-call requirement.
• No travel between facilities is required.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and medical conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly.
• Care for patients recovering from invasive cardiac procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Perform appropriate post-procedure assessments and monitoring, including care involving TR Band management.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patients undergoing medication initiation and titration, including Tikosyn and sotalol, according to facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, patient care technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Follow hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in unit activities, handoffs, and quality improvement initiatives.

-> Patient Population and Unit Overview

The Cardiac Telemetry service cares for patients with a range of cardiac and acute medical needs, including:

• Acute cardiac conditions and chest pain.
• Patients recovering from invasive cardiac procedures.
• Patients undergoing Tikosyn or sotalol initiation and titration.
• Acute medical conditions, including sepsis, COVID-19, and alcohol withdrawal.

-> Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• At least one year of RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Current, valid Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Required: Hands-on TR Band experience.
• Strong cardiac assessment, patient monitoring, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time night shifts and provide safe, effective patient care.

-> Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous cardiac telemetry or cardiac medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Experience caring for patients following invasive cardiac procedures.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and antiarrhythmic medication initiation or titration.

ADN candidates are welcome. Candidates with an ADN must be willing to sign an agreement to obtain their BSN within five years, in accordance with facility requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay: $33–$40 per hour.
• Evening shift differential (3:00 PM–10:30 PM): $3.50 per hour.
• Night shift differential (11:00 PM–7:30 AM): $5.00 per hour.
• Weekend differential (Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:59 AM): $2.25 per hour.
