Overview Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr This role at Sam’s Club involves working in the meat department, focusing on quality, packaging, and display of meat items. You will be on the front-lines of customer service, contributing to a positive shopping experience through attention to detail and effective service. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products to established standards; maintain product quality standards. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to inform production, training, and product quality decisions with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Maintain operational excellence; ensure quality and date control for meat products; secure fragile/high-shrink merchandise; minimize waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; package, label, and store merchandise per policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; contribute energy and commitment to the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; apply these in business processes and practices. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; manage priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and opportunities for improvement.
