Quality Engineer

Position Summary:The Quality Engineer (QE) is a technical leader who collaborates with multiple departments to ensure quality and delivery goals are achieved. The QE applies analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.Duties and Responsibilities:Interpret, implement, and conform to customer requirementsDevelop and approve quality proceduresDevelop and maintain inspection plans and standardsOversee calibration systems in accordance with AS9100 standardsCoordinate new product launches and design changesManage quality inspection and auditing activitiesAnalyze customer complaints and returnsDrive continuous improvement using Lean and Six SigmaProvide auditing and compliance supportSupport MRB activities and corrective actionsEvaluate suppliers and materialsGenerate First Article Inspections (FAI)Required Skills and Abilities:3-5+ years (QE) experience in manufacturing environment preferredStrong customer interaction experienceAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to read drawings and specificationsKnowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean methodsProficiency with inspection tools and systemsStrong communication skillsComputer skills (Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.)Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.Education and Experience:Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred. Experience in Quality Assurance and ISO/AS environments preferred.
