Bartender Job Description

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards and recipes.

Verify guest age and identification to ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations.

Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions.

Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, promotions, and venue policies.

Restock bar supplies, liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, cups, and ice throughout shifts.

Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary in accordance with responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Keep bar areas clean, organized, and sanitary at all times.

Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts and cleaning duties.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies.

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth event operations.

Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
