Senior Mortgage Loan Processor (Hybrid)
Location: Van Nuys, CA (Hybrid Remote/In-Office)
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Mortgage Loan Processor with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our high-performing team in the Van Nuys area. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in guiding borrowers smoothly from initial application through successful closing while managing a robust loan pipeline. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess deep knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo guidelines, and take pride in exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Pipeline Management: Manage an active pipeline of residential mortgage loans from initial submission to closing, ensuring all SLA and lock expiration timelines are met.
- Documentation & Verification: Review loan applications, credit reports, income/asset documentation, and appraisals for accuracy and compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines.
- Borrower & Partner Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, real estate agents, and loan officers, providing proactive updates and collecting missing conditions.
- Condition Clearing: Partner closely with Underwriting to clear conditions efficiently, resolving discrepancies proactively and maintaining a clean file flow.
- System Compliance: Ensure all loan data is accurately entered and updated within the Loan Origination System (LOS) in compliance with TRID, RESPA, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of recent experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor in a retail or broker environment.
- Guideline Expertise: Comprehensive working knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and Jumbo loan programs and guidelines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and automated underwriting engines (DU/LP).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
- Organization: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and manage high-volume pipelines with high accuracy.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year (commensurate with experience and volume capacity) .
- Performance Bonuses: Lucrative per-file closing bonuses and monthly volume incentives.
