Elite Transport LLC is hiring a full-time Truck Dispatcher in Evansdale, Iowa.

We're a growing semi-truck carrier, and we're looking for one organized, level-headed person to run our board. This is an in-office role on our operations team. You'll work directly with our drivers and our customers every day, and you'll have the authority to solve problems without going up three levels for permission.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and assign loads to drivers, balancing service commitments against hours of service and hometime
• Plan efficient routes and daily schedules, and adjust them when weather, breakdowns, or shippers change the plan
• Serve as the main point of contact for drivers on the road — check calls, directions, delays, detention, and the occasional 5 a.m. problem
• Keep customers updated on pickups, deliveries, and exceptions before they have to ask
• Maintain accurate load and driver records in our TMS, and keep paperwork moving so billing isn't waiting on you
• Track hours of service and DOT compliance alongside the safety side of the house

What we're looking for

• 1 year minimum in trucking, dispatch, brokerage, or freight operations — we'll train the right person on our systems
• Ability to multitask under pressure and keep a clear head when three things go wrong at once
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making; we want someone who makes the call, not someone who waits
• Excellent communication skills — you'll be talking to drivers and customers all day, and the tone you set matters
• Comfortable with computers, load boards, and transportation software
• Reliable, organized, and consistent — drivers need to know you'll pick up

Helpful, but not required

• Experience with TruckingOffice or a comparable TMS, and Motive or another ELD platform
• Working knowledge of FMCSA hours-of-service rules
• Prior experience as a driver, dispatch or in a shop or safety role

Schedule and location

On-site at our Evansdale, IA office, Monday through Friday. Dispatch is a phone job, so expect some after-hours and weekend contact from drivers — we'll be straight with you about that in the interview rather than surprising you later.
