Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit, focusing on stroke patients, respiratory conditions, and post-operative recovery. This role requires managing various clinical tasks and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and other clinical indicators.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs, including post-TPA stroke care and other acute conditions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid and unexpired driver's license required for credentialing purposes.
  
  
• 
  Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Experience with stroke patients and familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health records system.
  
  
• 
  Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to manage a high patient census with flexibility and attention to detail.
