System Administrator

DescriptionSAIC is seeking aSystems AdministratorFSET based out of Pearl City, Hawaii. The qualified candidate will serve as embedded support, supporting the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program. Embedded personnel are considered subject matter experts (SME),mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Command (RCC) exercises or operations that require the use of C2 Family of Systems. The individual provides on-site technical support at the garrison and deployed locations where the C2 system operates.Job Responsibilities:Work on deployable IT systems that communicate over satelliteInstallation of new hardware or softwareCreating and managing user accountsMaintaining computer systems such as servers and databasesPlanning and properly responding to system outages and various other problemsMay include light programming or scripting to make the system workflows easier.Training computer users and assistants.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors and two (2) years’ experience; Masters and zero (0) years' experience; 4 years’ experience accepted in lieu of degreeRequired Certification:Security+ certificationIAT Level II or above Certification in addition to Security+Required Skills:Familiarity with Windows Server 2012 R2, or newerUnderstanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows Roles and Features related to Enterprise servicesExperience with virtualization, i.e. vmWare and ESXi.Experience working in a Linux environmentExperiencein a Systems Administrator roleSecurity+ certificationIAT Level II or above Certification in addition to Security+Required Clearance:Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment.Required Travel:May include additional travel up to 10%.Job Field: Information TechnologyTravel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
