Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract Role – Kearney, NE

Day or Night Shift | 36 hrs/week | Start ASAP

A respected regional medical center in Kearney, Nebraska is seeking experienced Stepdown RNs for multiple contract openings on a high‐acuity Progressive Care/Stepdown unit. This is an excellent fit for nurses with strong PCU/Tele backgrounds who are comfortable floating within a collaborative hospital environment.

Assignment Details

• Shifts available — Days or Nights (12‐hour shifts)
• Hours — 36 hours per week
• Contract type — Travel/Contract RN
• Start date — ASAP
• Hiring — Multiple RNs

Unit & Patient Population

• Stepdown/PCU acuity
• Telemetry monitoring
• Post‐Cath Lab patients
• PCU‐level ICU boarders (no full ICU assignments)

Floating Requirements

• Float to Med‐Surg as needed
• Float to ICU only for PCU‐status patients
• Must be comfortable adapting to similar acuity levels across units

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience
• Strong Telemetry competency
• Experience with post‐Cath Lab patients
• Compact or Nebraska RN license
• BLS and ACLS required
