Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Nurse - Radiology Department - The organization is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse for a rotational shift in a busy radiology department. This role involves patient assessment, assisting radiologists with vascular, neurointerventional, and body interventional procedures, and implementing patient care plans. The position requires working in a dynamic environment with a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced radiology equipment and maintaining accurate records.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a call requirement of up to 2 days per week and rotating weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Active MD or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, 2 to 5 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with interventional radiology procedures such as arteriograms, biopsies, and vascular interventions.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; the nurse may work across various units/departments within radiology.
• Additional Information: The unit features four interventional radiology rooms performing vascular, neuro, and body interventional procedures, as well as diagnostic imaging in CT, MRI, U/S, and other modalities. A one-week orientation will be provided, including one day in each area and one call rotation. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure to submit, and the setting is in an acute care division with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1.
