Calm Harbor Psychiatric Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Mental Health Counselor to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. This full-time, remote position is focused on delivering innovative mental health therapy in an outpatient setting. As a licensed therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families while ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supportive individual therapy sessions under the supervision of a registered nurse, focusing on the therapeutic goals of each client.
- Observe and record vital patient information accurately as per treatment protocols, ensuring timely updates to the patient’s treatment plan.
- Provide orientation to patients and their families about our services, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages openness and trust.
- Assist patients with their personal care needs when necessary, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Write detailed progress notes by the end of each shift, clearly reflecting the patient's progress toward their treatment goals, utilizing clinical software for efficient documentation.
- Maintain high standards of time management, prioritizing tasks to meet practice requirements effectively.
- Advocate for additional services and treatments when appropriate, contributing to a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Manage crisis situations effectively, demonstrating knowledge of warning signs and appropriate response techniques to ensure patient safety.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with a diverse client population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges, as well as couples and families seeking marital and family therapy services. This role requires a nuanced understanding of the complexities associated with mental health disorders and the ability to establish genuine connections with clients, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and growth.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
- An independent license (must hold one of the following): Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as issued by the state board; limited/provisional licenses are not eligible.
- A proven ability to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendations for effective treatment planning and implementation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a sympathetic and compassionate disposition towards clients.
- Strong computer literacy, comfortable utilizing electronic health records and telehealth systems for patient management.
Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated experience in outpatient therapy focused on individual, couple, and family therapy.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and behavioral management techniques in a clinical setting.
- A history of advocacy and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000–130,000 per year.
